Volunteer

Share your time, talent, and skills to support Minority Vets services and programs. Volunteer roles are available in-person or virtually, allowing volunteers to serve, no matter where you are.

Why volunteer?

Mental & Physical Health: Research shows that volunteering can reduce stress, combat depression, and increase overall life satisfaction. Many volunteer roles also involve physical activity, which benefits your health.

Community Impact: Contribute directly to address issues you care about. Your time and effort help us stretch our often-limited resources further, helping us reach more minority veterans who need support.

Perspective & Gratitude: Working with different populations, meeting folks where they are, and addressing challenging issues often provides new perspectives on your own life and cultivates appreciation.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’d like to volunteer for a role outside of my skillset.

Apply! We believe in giving minority veterans the opportunity to explore and expand themselves, their identities, and their skills. This includes inviting our members to volunteer in roles outside of their formal professional skill in order to develop new ones.

I’d like to volunteer, but my capacity is limited.

We understand that there are a lot of folks out there who’d like to give back to their communities, but have limited time. We have volunteer roles that are events-based so members with limited capacity can serve.
